Finally, a family drama that will hit a note with all generations of family members, Santaan, a compelling saga that highlights the differences which arise between generations, over changing lifestyles, aspirations and morals in modern India. Santaan commences on STAR Plus – India’s Number One Chanel – on 18th February, airing Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm, with repeats running every Monday to Thursday at 10.00am.
Inspired by classic Bollywood family and social dramas of the past two decades, but given a contemporary reinterpretation for the small screen, Santaan follows the tender story of the closely knit ‘Dixit’ family. Based in Kanpur, ‘Gayatri’ and ‘Parikshit’ are exceptional parents to their three doting children – sons ‘Kartik’ and ‘Adwait’ and daughter ‘Suhana’. Marrying against the wishes of their respective parents and facing subsequent disownment, Gayatri and Parikshit make it their lifelong ambition to nurture their children in an environment of unconditional love, ready to sacrifice everything for the success and happiness of their kids.
